| Paul. | 03-06-2008 - 23:12 - from host217-44-60-104.range217-44.btcentralplus.com Sorry about the delay, my advice to you Sam is go for it! slip eccentric is simple to use. just raise steam, openthe regulator and give it a gentle push to set the valve gear in the direction you want to go. easy as that. Of all the loco's I've got to say the Bertie gives me the most pleasure in running. it can trundle along very nicely at a scale speed without constant adjustments to the regulator and runs for well over twenty minutes on a single fill. |

One question, could we have an approximate bar scale on the layout plan? A bar scale is very rarely included with published layout diagrams although these give invaluable help in judging the overall 'scale' of the railway. There's self-interest here because I'm planning a garden railway in our new house in Perth, Western Australia. Thanks again for the inspiration and for the photos that show your railway within the garden setting-very useful material for planning discussions with the 'Household Authorities'! |
